    hi rich, welcome in community

    follow these steps:

    Check and Clean Registry Entries

    Sometimes, the issue arises due to leftover registry entries from a previous installation. You can clean these entries manually, first do a backup of your registry https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-back-up-and-restore-the-registry-in-windows-855140ad-e318-2a13-2829-d428a2ab0692

    Example:

    Press WinKey + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

    Navigate to the following paths and delete the keys if they exist:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\Clients{F3017226-FE2A-4295-8BDF-00C3A9A7E4C5}

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\Clients{F3017226-FE2A-4295-8BDF-00C3A9A7E4C5}

    restart the system then re-install webview2 from Microsoft Edge WebView2 download page.

    Run the installer as an administrator by right-clicking on the file and selecting "Run as administrator".

    follow the instruction on screen, let me know if the webview apps work correctly

    Elvis
