I understand you are encountering an issue (error code 0x0) with trying to sign in connect with your account.
This issue usually causes by corrupted Windows account tokens, broken Office licensing cache or Windows still holding stale Microsoft sign‑in data.
Here is what you can do:
First let sign out of your account from all Office app on your machine.
Next let remove cached Office credentials
- Press Windows + R
- Paste:
control keymgr.dll - Remove all credentials related to:
- MicrosoftOffice
- Office
- MicrosoftAccount
- Restart the PC
Also reset Office sign‑in cache too
- Press Windows + R
- Paste:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\ - Delete these folders if present:
- Identity
- Licensing
- Restart Windows
After you have done all the step above, try opening Office again and sign in with your account to see if it fixes the issue.
