My camera is working under WINDOWS 11 and with other apps. I have blanked out all other apps and accepted TEAMS to use my camera in Settings, yet is still does not pick up in TEAMS meetings. Can use the camera at any other time, ZOOM, Windows test screen, etc. When opening a meeting a window states ... "do you wish to continue to meeting without Audio/Video" .. no option to change at this stage. When entering to change the camera then it is greyed out and no option to switch on. Confused. Thks Tony

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool.

Go to Windows Start  and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file.

Attach this file to your next post on this site or post this file on your File Sharing site (e.g. OneDrive) and provide here a sharable link to this site.

In Teams open Settings -> Devices. What exactly is the name of the device you see selected there as your Camera?

Do the same with Teams for Web application in your browser.

It sounds like you're experiencing a common issue with Microsoft Teams where the camera is not being recognized despite working in other applications. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Camera Privacy Settings: Ensure that Teams has permission to access your camera. You can check this by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera in Windows 11 and confirming that Teams is allowed to use the camera.
    2. Disable Frame Server Mode: There is a registry key that can help improve camera functionality in Teams. Disabling Frame Server Mode can sometimes resolve issues with webcam detection. You can set the registry key EnableFrameServerMode to 0. After making this change, a reboot is required for it to take effect.
    3. Update Teams: Make sure that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Sometimes, issues can arise from outdated software.
    4. Reinstall Teams: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the Teams application. This can help resolve any corrupted files or settings.
    5. Check for Conflicting Applications: Since you mentioned that the camera works in other applications, ensure that no other applications are using the camera at the same time as Teams, as this can cause conflicts.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
