I am having trouble with Authenticator app on my iPhone, as I just switched from older iphone to a new one. While I transferred all the data and existing eSim flawlessly and subsequently reset the older phone to factory settings. Now when I am trying to connect to my email which is using MSFT 365, the authenticator goes into a loop as it does not have code on authenticator to validate my business email. I am using MSFT authenticator for other MFA as well, so deleting it maybe not possible.

Off late, my email with domain, is not being recognised as well, as this pertains to work I have reached out to MSFT support, however now they have directed me to MSFT community as this is the only medium for any Authenticator related issues.

If you want me to share anything other information, let me know - but sincerely need some urgent help.

To resolve the issue with the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new iPhone, follow these steps:

    1. Use Your Old Device: If possible, do not factory reset your old iPhone until you have successfully set up your new device. You may need to use your old iPhone to complete the multi-factor authentication (MFA) process when accessing your email.
    2. Set Up MFA on New Device: If you cannot access your old device, you will need to register and set up MFA on your new iPhone. This typically requires you to log into your account, which may be challenging if you are locked out.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you have already reached out to Microsoft support, ensure you provide them with all necessary details about your account and the issues you are facing. They may need to verify your identity and assist you in regaining access to your account.
    4. Alternative MFA Methods: If you have SMS or call-based MFA set up, you can use those methods to authenticate while setting up your new device. Ensure that your phone number is active and can receive SMS or calls.
    5. Trial Tenant Setup: If you are unable to resolve the issue through support, consider setting up a new trial tenant to submit a support request. This will allow you to contact Microsoft support from a different account, although it will not give you access to your original data.

Make sure to follow the steps carefully to avoid further complications. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!
