Bit Locker is asking for a recovery hey ID. I need the recovery key ID.

    That BitLocker prompt is basically asking you for the recovery key that matches the Recovery Key ID shown on screen. The ID itself is just a reference number the actual recovery key is stored in places like your Azure AD account, Active Directory, or in your Microsoft account if the device was linked. You’ll want to log into the account where the device is registered and look under “Devices” or “BitLocker recovery keys” to find the full key. If your IT team manages the laptops, they can also pull the recovery key directly from the management console.

    Once you’ve got the matching key, enter it and BitLocker will unlock the drive. It’s a common situation when firmware or security settings change, so don’t worry the data is still safe, you just need the right key.
