What am I missing in trying to connect a Logitech M317 wireless mouse with a receiver? I put in a new battery, followed all instructions and nothing happens.

    Hi, good day!

To help me narrow down the exact cause, could you tell me

    • Is the USB receiver the original one that came with the mouse, or is it a replacement?
    • Does the receiver appear in Device Manager when plugged in?

Expand Mice and other pointing devices and Universal Serial Bus controllers.

See if the receiver appears or if there are any devices with a yellow warning icon.

    • Does the mouse's LED light up briefly when you turn it on?
    • Have you tried both the mouse and receiver on another computer?

Kindly make sure the tiny Logitech USB receiver is firmly plugged into your computer. If possible, try a different USB port.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
