Calendar interaction with Teams third party SIP calls

Hi,

We have a customer that has integrated Teams SIP calls with their Unify telephone system. The users have direct DDI numbers to the Teams SIP device and are members of a call ring group.
They have an issue whereby the users enable out of office, the direct calls go to voicemail etc as required but the group calls are also forwarding, this stops the calls to the ring group in effect.
Is it possible to to detach the Teams SIP calls from the calendar/out of office? Is there an admin policy within Teams to do this??
At present the users are enabling DND to stop the calls ringing through to the Teams SIP device. If an out of office is then set will this over-ride?

Regards,

Lee...

    Hi @lee williams ,

    Good day.

Since the question was a little bit hard for me to understand, may I ask you some questions?

    1. What is the ring group? Is it a Call queue? How did you modified it?
    2. Do you mean the calls to this user or to the group will both go to the voicemail if the user was OOF?

Is it possible to to detach the Teams SIP calls from the calendar/out of office? Is there an admin policy within Teams to do this??

Basically I don't find any policies about this, but like I said, maybe I'm not so clear about this question.

At present the users are enabling DND to stop the calls ringing through to the Teams SIP device. If an out of office is then set will this over-ride?

Yes if you change the status to AWAY or lock your computer, you will then receive call notifications.

If you are not using Call queue, please consider creating one, as it's more easily to transfer calls to the other operators.

*If I have wrong understanding about your question, please fix me and tell me more details, thank you for your understanding:)

    Best regards,
    Lou
