I suspect this may be a "feature" rather than a bug, which would explain why Microsoft hasn't "fixed" it yet, or even bothered to comment on it.

Teams 1.3.00.16851 (64 bits) on Ubuntu 20.04.1
Teams keeps using the microphone after a call is finished, but shouldn't it free the mic automatically as soon as the call is done? The only way I've found to free the mic is closing Teams.

Once you finish a call on Teams, there is a microphone icon in the taskbar which says "Skype is using the microphone."
basically that microphone icon in taskbar is meant to tell us if any app is accessing the mic.
Teams should stop accessing microphone once the call is finished. -

2020-08-20T15:18:29.57+00:00 Exactly what @Pankaj Kumar said. Seems like Teams never releases the mic at the end of a call. So when I check the system for who is using the mic, it tells me it's Skype.

2021-03-11T07:26:35.713+00:00 I am not in the same organization, but I have the same problem. It is especially annoying with a bluetooth headset, as keeping the microphone open keeps the headset in call mode, which lowers sound quality and makes the headset unavailable for other, non-Teams calls.
