Hello,

Please i need your help.

I have a user who received a message from an "Unknown User" in Teams. It seems that the message is received from Skype.

We need to know who sent the message from Skype.

I have attached a screenshot of the message from the Unknown user.

Could this user chat with this external person in Teams client?

Does anyone else meet this situation in their client?

If you could see the email address for this unknown user, please type his email address to search if you could see his name in the search list.

Meanwhile, please check if you could see this unknown user information in Teams web client.

Yes we have checked it. Is still showing the unknown error.

We cant see the email address of the unknown user both on the Teams app and Teams Web Client.

But we also notice that the Co-existence mode for this affected user is showing TeamsOnly mode while others are showing Island Mode.

I have tried to change it to Island mode but am getting an error. The error am getting says "This user is hosted in the cloud and needs Teams only mode to assign an instance of Teamsup grade Policy"

Do you have an idea why I cant change that to Island mode.

I have attached a screen shot of the error message.

Do you have an idea why I cant change that to Island mode.

The error message has told you the reasons. Skype for Business Online is now end of life, so your tenant been updated to Teams Only and you could not change the island mode in .
