Cross forest Migration

Hello

I have to migrate from old AD forest to the new Forest and i have NAS storage joined to the old AD Forest , Once i move the computer object for NAS storage from the old AD Forest to the new Forest and there are new SID will be generated , what is the status for my access share and permissions?

I am using 3rd party tool for migration and they have the ability to migrate the SID from old AD forest to the new AD forest , is it the recommended or can do unforeseen issue?

what shall i do in this situation?

    Hello,

    Do you know if your tool is capable of translating SID or adding new SID on ACLs located on your NAS storage ? If the tool is able to do it you should first migrate the groups which are used on the NAS storage to give users access to the shared folders, and after do the migration of the NAS storage.
