How do I merge a AVHDX?

Hello,

I have a virtual machine that I didn't realize initially was set up with check points. I've turned off checkpoints but currently it says the hard drive for the virtual drive is a avhdx file. I've shut down the server but it still has the original VHD file (with the current date) and a smaller avhdx file.

Please disregard - eventually it went away.

    Hi,

It seems the avhdx has merged to the vhd file after you delete the checkpoint eventually.
