Hi,

I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 however, before upgrading I had planned on formatting all internal hard drives and doing a clean install of windows as it's long overdue. I have a Microsoft 365 account which gives me 1tb of cloud storage on OneDrive. I use three separate computers signed in on the same Microsoft account and have selected the same default folders to sync to OneDrive. I can easily access files on my laptop desktop files from my desktop computer and vice versa. My question is if I format all drives on my pc and re-install Windows, will I be able to sign into my Microsoft account and the local folders that were sync'd with OneDrive will be where they were available to download locally?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Jacob Aldrich ,
You should Unlink Account for OneDirve first before you format drives, Unlink Account will stop syncing, if you don't Unlink Account, it may sync the empty folders to clound.
I suggest you refer to this support article about "Unlink and Re-link OneDrive":
