User accounts have been migrated from local AD to cloud accounts. Now when trying to expand the link to see All replies in a newsfeed conversation post, we receive the following error.
SharePoint returned the following error: "The operation failed because an internal error occurred. Internal type name: Microsoft.Office.Server.Microfeed.MicrofeedException. Internal error code: 25"
Users can post new topics and reply to topics. The error only occurs when they click on the link to see all replies.

@Daniel A. Galant , Would you like to share us with more information? Have you checked the uls log with more error message? And what is your SharePoint version and setup? The internal code 25 means the MicroBlogList_Error_ExecutingQuery. It may be better for you to have a check on your user profile service application configuration and my site.
This is SharePoint 2013 OnPrem. The client recently went through a user account migration, from local Active Directory to Cloud accounts. Since users are now logging in with their cloud accounts, we are encountering odd security issues that we trying to work through. The news feed issue is one of them. So yes, users would have new MySites based on their new accounts, which could be adding to the issue. What permissions need to be modified in order to make this work again?
So you didn't use Convert-SPWebApplication and Move-SPUser?
No. we were not in control of the user "migration". The client simply created all new accounts and we used a script to copy the permissions from account to account. We had no input in the planning, we just had to find a way to make it work after the fact.
Using Move-SPUser would have been required to translate the user identity in the User Profile Service (which also needs to be reconfigured to support SAML) which is where social comments (microfeed) are stored.
