Hi, @Will ,

For now, it is not customizable for a sharing email in SharePoint Online. Here's a post in UserVoice, you can vote for it so the MS develop team will consider it as a possible new feature in the future. .

Hi, @Will , per my knowledge we cannot use a custom Email template in SharePoint 2019 neither. What you can do is to switch back to the previous sharing email template like in SharePoint 2016. hi Jerry,

To be honest, I would like to add a document link in the mail. so I need to change the mail template. but it seems not to do this even I covert template to 16.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to customize this template for text or layout.

While I haven't looked at these templates, they wouldn't be adjustable in a supported way.
