Disable trusted launch Azure VM

Hello Everyone,

I have an issue with one of my VM's on Azure.

This machine was previously created with Trusted Launch enabled on it(Don't know why).

Now, I can't backup it up with my default backup policy, only with enhanced one which is I'm not interested in.

I've unmarked this options under the configuration of the VM:

The Azure still shows me that the machine is on Trusted Launch, how do I changed that?

P.S I have rebooted this machine after every change that I've made.

Checking this documentation, looks like there is one way to disable Trusted Lauch, I hope it helps.

Trusted launch can only be disabled during deployment. Read the article once again, only during deployment!

Once a VM is created with Trusted Launch, Trusted Launch cannot be disabled. Only the associated capabilities such as vTPM and Secure Boot can be disabled individually. You will need to recreate the VM with Trusted Launch disabled.

We have 3 VMs which are created with Trusted Launch and now we are trying to set up Disaster Recovery but its failing with the below error.

We Tried various steps to recreate the VM like:

Taking Snapshot, creating disk from snapshot and then creating VM using the disk. But, VM is getting created as Trusted Launch

Tried to create a standard VM and do OS swap but its not supported

Tried to take VM backup and create VM using backup. But, VM is getting created as Trusted Launch

Since we can't rollback, how can we recreate a trusted VM with its existing data to a standard VM

We tried multiple options to recreate the VMs:

Take snapshot of the Disk, Create disk using the snapshot and then create VM using the disk. But, VM is getting created as Trusted Launch

Take backup of the trusted launch VM. Using the latest backup tried to create VM. But, VM is getting created as Trusted Launch

Since we cannot rollback, how can we re-create a standard VM using existing data of trusted launch VM
