Game Console sales

NPD, which is one of the most respected retail sales analysts, just reported US sales for video game consoles

The PS3 was the big suprise at under 200,000 units. Wii was the more successful launch at 476,000 units. Over 500,000 XBox 360s were sold. True, the Wii and the PS3 were launched by the middle of the month, but there were many fans waiting for them and they were both available on Black friday. I guess Sony's pricing strategy is proving to be more challenging than what they expected. On the other side, the first wave of games at elast have failed to deliver the Wow factor that people expected.

It is an interesting industry to watch.
