Microsoft not so long ago now released Microsoft Security Essentials which helps protect your Windows Computer against Virus Threats, Spyware and Malware. They have also now released an on-demand downloadable version which DOES EXPIRE after 10 days. It is not a replacement for Anti-Virus Software but what it is designed to do is basically give your system the once over to see if you have any security exposures which need fixing such as Out of Date Virus Definitions, and helps protect you against malicious software.
