There's no Italian Version, I've several problems by displaying different sites including myspace (as stated by another comment), it doesn't respect (or I don't know how to implement them for IE) different css/css2 tags, there are some problems into displaying some SVG files with movements of complex areas, the ie developer toolbar is not working correctly with this version (I suppose that is normal).
I hope that the feedback can help a bit.Anonymous

Just installed German version. Problems:
- even if I turn Clear Type off, in Outlook Express the preview of the emails are still rendered with Clear Type.
I uninstalled IE7 Beta 3 and I was left with some problems I didn't have before installing the Beta:
- In Outlook Express when I press "send & receive" I get a message saying that it wasn't able to connect to the internet. I have the option to try again or to work offline. If I try again, everything works fine.
- I have a phone directory program that I start from a network drive. Now I get a message saying that it is not safe to start this program because the publisher could not be verified. I can start the software or cancel. On the bottom of the window it says that the file does not have a valid digital signature.
I think that since I installed Beta 3 and uninstalled it, my system now mixes up my internet and intranet.Anonymous

I think that with all change, complaints follow. In my opinion the amount of people that change anything about their IE layout is quite minimal, just as the amount of Firefox users.
The only thing that people do is install the Google toolbar, and that is about it.
With IE7 all they did was move around certain features because - from what I've read - usability testing showed that their original position was not the most efficient.
Microsoft is not trying to recreate Firefox/Mozilla/etc. or convert their users back to IE, they are updating their own browser.
Should IE be released as an automatic update, it will only take a few months for a large group of people to convert to IE7 from IE6. Simply because for a lot of people it is out of their control or it happens automatically.
The user interface changes haven't been that big, it still has all buttons that you use just in a different position. In due time people will get used to them.Anonymous

@BigAl: To fix the Zones issue, click Tools | Internet Options | Security | Local Intranet | Sites, and check all three checkboxes.
@Christoph: Yes, German is an important market but as Aedrin notes, the primary reason for choosing German is that it makes for a good test case, because strings in German are typically much longer than the equivalents in other languages. This is great to test for UI overlaps, etc. In contrast, Spanish text has characteristics much like English and hence finds fewer bugs.Anonymous

I can't get registed with the IE Feedback bug site, so I'll just post my issue here.
I use bare favorites, as well as folders with favorites on my Links bar.
1. Right-click and choose rename on a bare link: Expected and Actual: Get the rename dialog.
2. Click on the folder to expand the shortcuts, and then right-click on a shortcut in that folder and choose rename.
Expected: same rename dialog
Actual: nothing happens.

@Tony: In Tools | Internet Options | General | Languages, what do you have in the "Prefix and suffix" options?
@Howard: For #2, which UI entry point are you using for rename? Using the Favorites center, I can rename Favorites in subfolders without a problem. Ditto for the Favorites menu. (I am using a later build, so this may have been fixed).
@DJ: Did you try clicking "Show Updates" on the Add/Remove applet? If it's not listed under "Windows Internet Explorer Beta 2" check under the Updates for Windows XP. If it's not there, look inside C:windows$ntuninstallie7b2 or similar for the spuninst folder and run spuninst.exeAnonymous

Hi. The new IE7 is blocking browser based applications. we have an application which hosts the ie and uses internally activex controls. for allowing script and controls we have implemented an own security and zone manager for the hosting application (atl based, as described in the msdn). since ie7 beta 3 the active x control are blocked. so i assume you implemented new sec. and zone managers, hugh?Anonymous

There I can set the prefix and suffix options, but with suffix there's only the option for Ctrl+Shift+Enter shortcut. Sure I can use that to produce ".com", but I've used to have it in Ctrl+Enter.Anonymous

Actually, I was a bit disappointed with IE7 at first and have serious questions in mind as well.
First of all: "Huge Memory requirement" , this is what saddens me most. 40 mb's per tab is not something really nice and imo, needs to be looked at.
Second of all, allowing we old schoolers, to put "Menu bar" at top especially if not using Vista
IE7 beta 3, possibly known bug that places "wrong" images from cache as background images which was not in beta 2 as far as I remember.
Hope those bugs are fixed and here comes our ultimate browser.Anonymous

You can use the original IE6 executable to use the decent GUI with IE7's rendering engine located at...

No offence, but have you considered that what you're experiencing is an isolated bug? Do you honestly think that now, at Beta 3, Microsoft would have shipped a version that is incapable of opening >1 tab?
It's a beta, it has bugs. Maybe you should look up the meaning of the word:

Eric, I think it has to do something with a broken script on the add search providers page...

Element not found, maybe it went stealth? I'm not an expert with JavaScript by any means!
Also the external links on my site (intended to open in new tabs/windows) do not open in new tabs but rather new windows. I think someone mentioned that before but it's the only other bug I've noticed in this beta.Anonymous

Great, the gmail rendering problem I was experiencing with beta 2 has been fixed. I'm 95% happy with IE7 now. My only complaints are the buggy display of digg buried comments (the text of the burried comment disappears after you expand it) and a new rendering bugg with digg, regarding overlapping text.

Please, please, if there is anything you can do to convince your very smart developers to implement the BUTTON element correctly.
Since IE4, (since ie4!) it sends the value of InnerHTML instead of the value of the VALUE attribute.
This means that you can't have a button label independent of its value.

Good job guys. I am really impressed with many of the features of IE7. Maxthon has been my default browser for a long time and you guys have done really a nice job in incorporating most of the features I look for in any browser. I don't see a option to open a link in a new tab as opposed to a new window. I thought I saw the option once which I right click on the link, but I don't see it anymore. Is there some setting that needs to be enabled for this feature to work?

@Eric
If you go to...
http://www.jabcreations.com/home/
...and at the top right change the theme (note: default is City Blue) it will load the frameset in to itself for some reason.
If you first disable JavaScript and then visit...
http://www.jabcreations.com/home/home-themes-classic.php
or...
http://www.jabcreations.com/home/home-themes-city.php
...for example you can check out the JavaScript code in the body element. For your convenience it is...
<body onload="if (location.href != top.location.href) {parent.border.location.reload(); parent.copyright.location.reload(); parent.mplayer.location.reload(); location.href=document.referrer;} else {location.href = document.referrer;}">
So the temporary page that reloads the frames somehow ends up loading the frameset in to a new frame of itself.
Any idea? Thanks!Anonymous

Some suggestions,
- Favorities Center (Star Button) is not easy to locate for users
- Why I can't I read the feeds within my browser, why does it take each individuals sites to read the feeds, this just becomes a feed like collector, it should read allow you to read multiple feeds with the browser rather then user going to each individual feed.
- There should be better integration with Windows Live Favorties, I should be able to search my favorite links with in the quick search area.Anonymous
