Walk the path to the cloud – learn Windows Azure

logo-windows-azureYou know you've been meaning to do it - get developing on the cloud - but you haven't found the resources or time to get started.  Or maybe you've taken the first steps, and done a little reading on the subject, but haven't yet sat down to write any code.  Or maybe you really tried to figure it out, and got a little lost along the way.

No matter: Starting today, we're pleased to announce the new Windows Azure Learning Path at https://walearningpath.cloudapp.net, which will get you up and developing in no time flat.

Organized by levels, and featuring the teachings of some of the leading cloud evangelists, you'll get clear guidance on every step of your journey, from getting the tools and the basics, to cloud rockstar, bursting to scale, and poised for world domination.

Start with level 100 courses, which will take you from installation of the tools through hosting a basic web site on Azure.  Once you're comfortable with that, move on to the 200, 300 and 400 level courses, which will take you further on your journey, introducing concepts like table, blob and queue storage, SQL Server in the cloud, security, caching and more.

So come on, and get ready for your freshman courses in Azure.  To get started, you'll want to get access to your free Azure resources, so it's worth looking at https://bit.ly/jenAzureTrial before you show up for class.  You'll also want to make sure that you remember your pencil box and other development tools, so head to https://bit.ly/jenAzureSDK so that you can "get the bits".

Update: also, if you are an MSDN subscriber, you can activate your Windows Azure benefits that are part of MSDN, to get up to $3,700 worth of annual Windows Azure goodness at no extra charge. You can activate your Azure benefits at https://bit.ly/jenAzureMSDN .

What are you waiting for?  The time is right to get back to class and get the training you need to be a cloud superstar.  Get started now at https://walearningpath.cloudapp.net.
