The Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) for Windows 7 SP1 are now available for download. These include the latest version of Hyper-V Manager which supports both Dynamic Memory (DM) and RemoteFX.

Is this update needed if you had the RTM RSAT installed and then installed SP1?

No, not needed in those circumstances. Thanks, John.

I'm not sure I understand your question Lucian. Windows 7 client doesn't have Hyper-V - it can be used to remotely manage a matching Windows Server 2008 R2 server. Windows 8 client was the first client Windows OS which supported Hyper-V. I'm not sure what you're asking to import?

Enable the Hyper-V tools which are part of RSAT (Remote Server Administration Tools). It's a Windows Feature on Server. John.

Hi, Is there any kind of  Hyper-V Manager included within Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 ( without hyper-V role ) able to manage a remote Hyper-V running on a core installation? Thanks for help. Regards, J.P.

First. Thank you for the prompt answer. Second I download from the Microsoft site "Windows6.1-KB958830-x64-RefreshPkg.msu" and i installed on my windows_7_64 and into "control panel / programs and features / turn Windows features on or off / Remote Server Administration Tool / Role Administration Tools / i check Hyper-V tools. I participate at the course "6425C Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Domain Services", and i liked to import the virtual machines into Hyper-V. But, as you as said it's posibile only on Windows 8. I think i will upgrade to windows 8 Thank you once again
