Windows 8: Opportunity Knocks – Oct 22nd
With just over a week to go before the general availability of Windows 8, it’s one of your last chances to ‘get in the know’ prior to fielding those questions from <insert technologically-challenged relative here> !
I’ll be the guest of the Tech-in-Motion Boston Meetup this coming Monday, October 22nd, at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center (NERD) in Cambridge. The focus will be on the opportunities Windows 8 presents for developers and entrepreneurs given the unparalleled size of the Windows ecosystem.
I’ll chat a bit about Windows 8 application design and user experience, strategies and support for developing applications, and the monetization options. We’ll have some associates from the Microsoft Store on hand with some great Windows 8 devices (sorry, no Surfaces yet), a representative of SpeadSong will chat about their experiences building for Windows 8, and we’ll even have some valuable prizes to give away!
I’m looking forward to it and hope you’ll be able to join us beginning at 6:30 at NERD. Do RSVP so there’s an accurate count for pizza (courtesy of JobSpring Partners and WorkBridge Associates).
