Apologia
My apologies for the slightly messed up posting on Friday. I was having trouble with creating links, and inadvertainly removed several links from the blog posting. The omission of one link towards the end made the point I was making rather incoherent. I'm restoring the link now.
Dean Heckler had a nice response to my last post on Google Earth. According to him, Google Earth "reeks of potential - and not only for Google." I agree that Google Earth, and Earth Browsers in general, are cool and exciting, but I still wonder where the crossover into public acceptance and major profitability will happen. I can see this becoming a ubiquitous application, but I still see it as a rather large niche.
