amazon kindle 2 pictures surface – I want one

I don’t know about you, but the new pics of the Kindle 2 look stellar.  If the articles on engadget and other blog sites are true, we’ll find out if the pictures are legitimate on 2/24/2009.  The line to buy one forms behind me.  Warm up those credit cards.

[UPDATE for 2/9/2009]  I ordered one today.  I’ll write about it when I receive it in a few weeks.  Looking forward to it.

  I used one of these on the flight back from Seattle last week.  While I liked the form factor, the back lighting was lack luster.  In a bright room, its less than ideal to read. The Sony has better backlighting, but you pay out the nose for it.

  You were looking at a kindle v1 I assume.  I don't know how different they are yet, but I thought the kindle 1 was nice.
