NZ ASP .NET 2.0 Hosters in New Zealand

With the launch of ASP .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 I bet you want to go out there and host your creation for the world to see. Nigel has been working with a few of the local hosters to make this stuff happen:

For a list of Microsoft hosters in NZ a good place to start is always the hoster directory. 

 

There are other hosters who I have missed off my short list above - so I'll try to update this every now and then.

    Just what I've been looking for: there's no point in me finally being able to do all this cool stuff if it's trapped on localhost.

    I don't suppose you know whether www.aspxconnection.com will be offering ASP.NET 2 during the current geological era? They wimped out completely on Beta 2.

    Hi Kevin,

    I'll check with Darryl, but I don;t think that is out current plan (upgrading the ASPXConnection infra) instrad we offer free hosting for .NET 2.0 with Visual Studio 2005 Web Developer.

    I've since heard that the free hosting on aspxconnection is winding down by the end of the year so obviously that's no longer an issue.
    As regards the free ASP.NET 2 hosting with VS 2005 Web Developer, there are two downsides with that:
    a) It's only for 30 days
    b) It's not available to those of us running more full versions of Visual Studio 2005.

    So my current fairly urgent (in view of impending site eviction) quest is for low-cost ASP.NET 2 hosting, very preferably with support for SQL Server Express (since as I've said elsewhere I'd rather not fork out for full SQL Server hosting when that's not what I need).

    Hi Kevin,

    One quick short-cut to get the free 30 day hosting and then an offer for one of the local hosters would be to download and register VWD. You can then use that hosting with your version of VS2005.

    All of these guys support SQL hosting and are offering there services at a good price...
