    hi tmiller , Visual Studio 2005 with DirectX9.0c SDK can also develop games,It use DirectX3D's classes to build the game ,I have found that the XNA tool uses its own classes, any differents between XNA environment and DirectX SDK if someone only runs on personal computer ?
