SqlNotificationRequest.Timeout Property

Definition

Gets or sets a value that specifies how long SQL Server waits for a change to occur before the operation times out.

Property Value

A signed integer value that specifies, in seconds, how long SQL Server waits for a change to occur before the operation times out.

Exceptions

The value is less than zero.

Remarks

After the time-out period expires, the notification is sent even if no change takes place. The Timeout property defaults to the value set on the server.
