Large scale organizations are awash with data. Currently, most organizations face significant upfront investments in time, money, and expertise to monitor their data, identify relevant conditions, and take timely actions.
Data Activator enables customers to proactively inform users or update operational systems in response to rapidly changing business conditions. It serves as a real-time digital monitoring system that tracks both batch and streaming data and trigger actions based on the data patterns. It can monitor and respond to aggregated data, like Power BI reports, and granular events such as data streams from IoT sensors.
Business users can define business conditions using a no-code experience to launch actions such as e-mails, Teams notifications, Power Automate flows, and third-party action systems via hundreds of Power Automate connectors. This self-service approach reduces dependence on internal IT or developers, which is often costly and hinders agility. Organizations can manage and maintain monitoring solutions without the need for a developer team.

Metrics, triggers, and actions
Estimated release timeline: Q2 2024
In addition to monitoring business objects, Data Activator will let you define key metrics that assign values from your data stream. These metrics can trigger actions based on aggregated values across multiple dimensions at specific time intervals.
Monitor KQL sources
Estimated release timeline: Q2 2024
In addition to monitoring Power BI and Eventstream data, Data Activator will support periodic querying against KQL sources. These queries can be used to return exceptions, or track results over time to detect data changes or threshold conditions.
Enhanced trigger options
Estimated release timeline: Q2 2024
To represent the business conditions for monitoring, Data Activator will support more trigger conditions such as percentage changes over time, date/time functions, basic mathematic functions, signal absence detection and more.
Send events from Power Automate
Estimated release timeline: Q2 2024
Currently Data Activator lets you initiate Power Automate workflows based on certain conditions. Soon, you'll also be able to push events as an output from a Power Automate workflow.
