How to: Refresh a Database Connection in Server Explorer
As other users modify the database, you can refresh the list of database objects displayed Server Explorer.
Note
The dialog boxes and menu commands you see might differ from those described in Help depending on your active settings or edition. To change your settings, choose Import and Export Settings on the Tools menu. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.
To refresh a database connection
- In Server Explorer, right-click the Data Connections node or a specific connection, and choose Refresh from the shortcut menu.
After you successfully refresh the connection, the list of database objects visible in Server Explorer is updated with the changes that other users have made to the database since you first established the connection.
