Manage server roles and services using PowerShell cmdlets
The ServerManager module for PowerShell contains cmdlets for managing server features, roles, and services. These cmdlets are the equivalent of the Server Manager user interface. The Server Manager cmdlet names include the noun "WindowsFeature."
Note
The ServerManager module cmdlets can only target Windows Server operating systems — they manage Windows Server roles and features, not client OS features. You can run these cmdlets from a Windows 10 or Windows 11 client that has RSAT installed, but you must use the -ComputerName parameter to target a remote Windows Server. If you run them without specifying a remote target on a Windows client, you'll receive an error message.
