Azure interoperability request

Summary

Microsoft is committed to ensuring that Azure customers and developers can deploy interoperable solutions effectively. Microsoft supports them through a combination of dedicated professionals, such as Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Success Account Managers, and product specialists, as well as extensive self-service documentation, community resources, and engagement through the MVP network. Microsoft also established this dedicated interoperability request mechanism that provides a transparent, structured, and accessible way to submit interoperability requests.

Scope and eligibility

Azure interoperability requests must be related to an Azure product or service. When evaluating each request, Microsoft considers:

  • Complexity

  • Cost

  • Customer demand

  • Existing alternative options

  • Available engineering resources

  • Security

Other factors may be taken into consideration as needed.

Azure interoperability request process

To submit an Azure interoperability request, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Azure interoperability request form and fill out the required fields. Provide as much detail as possible about your use scenario, goal, and the Azure product or service you need access to.

  2. Submit the Azure interoperability request form.

  3. Once submitted, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your request along with a case number.

  4. Microsoft will evaluate your request and seek additional information, if needed, to understand the parameters of your request.

Note

The response time for a final determination can vary depending on the nature and complexity of your request. Microsoft strives to provide clear and timely communication throughout the process.
