Window shrinking background effect

Hello,

In windows 11 when you try to move a window using a pen/stylus it will shrink a little bit and show a background on the sides (of the actual size of the window), when you release it it will return to normal.

We have a WPF project made a while ago and this didn't happen in Windows 10, but now it looks weird, since the grid we're using is a big transparent rectangle, so when you're trying to move it a huge block (the size of the grid) appears until you release it.

Is there a way to remove this effect from happening either in a windows setting or inside visual studio?

Here's an example image of the file explorer while it's being pressed and moved by the pen.

Thanks in advance :)

    Hi,

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

I understand that you're having issues with the screen using the pen/stylus. This might be cause of the new Windows 11 system's feature. However, to make sure with that, I would suggest reinstalling the display drivers first then check if the issue is the same or if it's fixed. To reinstall the display drivers of your device, you may follow the steps below:

To uninstall driver from Windows 11, you have to :

    1. Press WINDOWS + X
    2. Click on "Device Manager"
    3. Double-click on the device group you want to uninstall. In your case, "Display adapters" to show its drivers.
    4. Right click on the device you want to uninstall
    5. Click on "Uninstall device"

In order to reactivate the device and install device's driver, you have to:

    1. Press WINDOWS + X
    2. Click on "Device Manager"
    3. Click on the Action tab above.
    4. Select "Scan for hardware changes".

If the drivers did not reinstall, I advise to restart the computer then check for the issue and see the results.

Did you ever get an answer that helped? I'm guessing not ;-)

It's very annoying, along with the pop-ups that tell you Minimise / Close etc
