Keyboard shortcuts in CAD programs not functioning

I am using RD Client from my IPad Pro to use Architectural software on my home PC, running Windows 11, and am having issues using them efficiently. For example in "sketchup", some of the normal functions, like clicking the mouse-wheel button down to orbit around an object, are not working correctly or at all. When using the mouse-wheel button, the "orbiting" should be seen as you drag the mouse. Instead, the mouse freezes on the page and, only upon letting go of the mouse wheel do you see how much you have orbited. Note: there is also an on-screen toolbar button, in SketchUp, for the same function— that, once selected, demonstrates the function properly. The same goes for the pan command (Shift+left click+drag), which also only works properly when you select the corresponding button on the appropriate toolbar. Also, I am using the "magic keyboard", and the letter-key, and modified letter-key shortcuts do not function at all. Annoyingly enough, the (main) on-screen keyboard will only show up if I'm in a text box, so I don't have a means to input the letter-key shortcut/hotkeys.

This could be revolutionary for my workflow, if only I could get it to work properly. Please help. Thank You.

    Hello there,

Do these shortcuts works when you login normally to the device? By doing so you can narrow the issue whether it is the CAD or the RDP you need to check .

Try changing the Local Resources settings when you are connecting to the remote computer to “On the Remote Computer”

    To change settings

    1. Open Remote Desktop Connection
    2. Click on Options to get more options while connecting
    3. Go to Local Resources
    4. Under Keyboard tab change the setting to ‘On the remote computer’
    5. Apply the settings and then connect to the computer and check if the keyboard shortcuts on the remote desktop works
