I do not want to see a lock screen ever. I do not want to input a password ever. I do not want to input a pin ever. I do not want facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, or any other bullshit to happen when I turn my computer on.

  1. How do I accomplish this.
  2. How is it not as simple as an easily accessible setting? This is ridiculous.

Same question, sorry not an answer. I was able to do this with my desktop running Win 10 Pro. Haven't found a way to do this with Win11 Pro in a Surface Pro 8.

I agree it's a PIA. This is a machine that will never leave the house so I don't have much use for a password.

Disabling this function can also be done using regedit (for Home version of Windows). I had to google it, because the above doesn't work with Home.

There is a disableLockWorkstation in regedit to fully disable lockscreen. the dafault value is 0 or false, means the feature isn't used. if the value is 1, the lockscreen will be removed and we will not be able to press HOME+L .

    1. open Registry editor
    2. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    3. set the value of "disablelockworkstation" to 1.
    4. ok and close.
It works on windows 11 pro.

The other way isn't gonna work for windows 11, "Do Not Display Lockscreen" in gpedit.msc. This feature removes the lockscreen, but not the login page. we know that windows has 2 pages to unlock the lockscreen
