"Please wait... We're still loading the presentation"

Today I was contacted by a user complaining that when they are sent an email with a link to a PowerPoint.pptx file that is stored in SharePoint, as their default and only browser is MS Edge, when the file is opened and any of the options are selected on the Toolbar it shows "Please wait... We're still loading the presentation".User's image

We have tried opening in Chrome and also opening in MS Teams it appears to work which leads me to believe the error is with the MS Edge browser. Has anybody else seen this before and found a way to make it work?

    Seems to have somehow magically started working again for us today.

    The easy workaround, if you have this problem, is to copy the link the the presentation, then open PowerPoint on your desktop. File ¬ Open ¬ Browse. Paste the link that you copied and it should open and work as expected in Desktop app (Obviously you will need that to be installed).
