I am evaluating a product called TSPLUS, which is used for several users to connect to a windows server without using the rds role, therefore I would not need cal rds, could someone clarify whether or not it is necessary to buy cal rds thank you.

    Hi,

    Yes, you still need to purchase RDS CALs and Windows Server CALs. Even without using RDS role you are using Windows Server to host graphical user interface, which requires RDS CAL according to Microsoft Product Terms.
