I am trying to convert a Windows server 2008 machine to a VM on my 2012r2 Hyper-V server, I have BITS, .net 4.5, and the Visual Studio requirements installed on the server and the source machine has the windows
Hello everyone, I couldn't solve the problem using a firewall, are there any other solutions on this issue?

    P2V is an absolute last resort for virtual machine deployment. You can try some other tools to see if it works, but the much cleaner / safer method is to stand up a new one, patch fully, migrate roles over and move on.

    Hey,

    As mentioned, it is recommend to move your roles and applications rather than P2V.

    If you need to perform P2V, you can use StarWind V2V as an alternative. It can convert your physical server directly to a Hyper-V VM. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
