Hello,
I am trying to convert a doc binary file into docx ooxml format. There are many ".doc" binary format parameters related to e.g. "OOXML/Settings" sections not mapped 1:1 into ".docx" ooxml format. Can you please provide me with a link to any documentation containing a conversion table mapping the original doc (binary) parameters into docx (ooxml) parameters? Even a partial information related to "Dop"/"Settings"/"Websettings" can be helpful.

I don't think Microsoft offers a comprehensive mapping of binary to XML for Word documents. The ISO 29500-1 standard (sections 11 and 17 WordprocessingML) and MS-DOC are effectively the comprehensive reference for XML and binary (Compound Binary Format) formats for Word. I assume you knew that but had to state it. Alternatively, you can save a simple document containing the features that you are interested in, targeting both .doc and .docx and then compare the properties and elements, respectively. Yes, I know this is somewhat tedious to do.
For the group of WebSettings properties, they are spread around a little but I'll give one example and if you have others or more specific ones you're not finding, let me know.
From the ISO 29500-1 standard:
17.15.2.1 allowPNG (Allow PNG as Graphic Format) This element specifies that applications shall allow use of the PNG file format when the contents of this WordprocessingML document are saved as a web page. This includes all supporting images used as part of this HTML web page.
This would map to MS-DOC:
2.7.5 Dop2000 ... H - fAllowPNG_WebOpt (1 bit): Specifies whether to allow Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format as a graphic format when saving as a Web page as specified in [ECMA-376] Part 4, Section 2.15.2.1 allowPNG. Default value is 0.
Generally, the *_WebOpt properties in the binary format map to the Web Page Settings in the WordprocessingML standard. There may be some others that don't follow this pattern but as I said, if you specify which ones you're not finding I can try to help.
