Sharing desktop when using two monitors in Teams meeting

When I share my desktop in a meeting and am using two monitors, do the screens from both monitors share? If so, how to prevent this?

thats stupid.. so you can only share one screen? unless its duplicated.. which is the whole point of having 2 monitors.

No, there's two misunderstandings here. The person that tried to answer assumed (wrongly I suppose) that you have your screens duplicated and wanted to know the answer. Then you misunderstood his answer.

The correct answer is that if you have two monitors, in the Teams meeting, you must choose one of them to share. You can only share one screen at a time.

If you for some reason have the screens duplicated in your Windows settings, they will show the same content, and thus you can only choose to share that identical screen. Which kinda goes without saying...

When you share your desktop in a meeting, both screens from your two monitors will be shared. However, you can prevent this by changing your display settings to "Extend desktop" instead of "Duplicate desktop". This will allow you to share only one screen while keeping the other screen private. To change your display settings, right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings". From there, select "Extend desktop" under the "Multiple displays" section.
