I have a Free subscription and would like to learn more on Computer Vision Face recognition. When I select Face and then select a photo, it recognizes my subscription but it asks for a resource.

When I select the dropdown box, it does not show the resource I created earlier.

When I create a new resource, it gives me the following:

I am willing to use only one resource and have deleted all resource groups and resources just to make sure I have one resource. Any ideas or configuration changes I need to make? I understand this is a free subscription. I am just trying to learn the services of Face.

Thanks for your help!

@Bob C I think in this case, with the face API your subscription would need approval to use the API. Face API feature is only available to user who are managed customers and partners of MS. Please see this note on the documentation page.

    Hi Bob,

To start from the beginning with an Azure AI service, I recommend you purging all of your free services and starting over:

Recover or purge deleted Azure AI services resources

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/recover-purge-resources?tabs=azure-portal

    (more specifically):

    Purge a deleted resource

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/recover-purge-resources?tabs=azure-portal#purge-a-deleted-resource

You will want to delete your free resources, and then purge the deleted resource. Once you have done that I would recommend starting over by creating that Free Tier resource again.
