It would appear that you have a problem with the windir environment variable.

When I try to run a non-existent program.....

The error message expands %windir% to C:\Windows.

Check your environment variables and from a command prompt verify that %windir% expands. Add windir back if it got deleted.

    Hi,

May we know under which condition, the error appears? Normally, %windir% is a variable, and will be "translated" to "c:\windows" when a program runs, however, in the screenshot, it seems %windir% is a static string, which may be from bad-designed program, and it is suggested to contact the vendor to re-write it if possible.

    Regards,

    Alex
