Losing access to Microsoft office will I still be able to access my word and power point files?

I am a current student and have access to Microsoft Office through my school(word,excel, powerpoint). When I graduate I will lose this access and subscription. The word, powerpoint, excel files I have downloaded onto my computer will I still be able to access these and see the contents or will I no longer have access to any of the files on my laptop. Thanks

    Where did you store the files? In local computer or in OneDrive cloud?

    If the files are saved locally, the files are still on your computer, but you don't have Office products activated, then you can only access the files and not edit them. If your files are stored in the OneDrive cloud, we recommend that you first move the files locally or apply for a personal OneDrive account.
