How to get the contact list from new Teams version?

Question

Is anyone knows how to get the contact list as the same format as old Teams version? My Teams App has been mandatory changed to new version by today, and I cannot find the contact list as before. I add 'People' from the app, but it cannot show the status of my contacts, which is inconvenient for me. As in previous version, I can easily switch 'Chat' to 'Contacts', then I am available to see the status of all my contacts.

New Teams is not very perfect at present. Presence is available within the People App - at least on an individual basis, you just have to dig deeper.

We hope they update the People App in the future to bring back what has been lost in terms of functionality from what was in the old Contacts List.

• Open People App
• Click a category, then click a name from your list of contacts.
• Click Contact
• presence status shows in the box below.
