Hello,
I created a semantic model connected to my Azure Database for MySQL flexible server. It refreshes successfully from powerbi desktop, but once the dashboard is published, it does not refresh anymore. The error I am getting is:
[ValidateMarkupTags][ccon]DataSource.MissingClientLibrary: We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'MySql.Data.MySqlClient'.. DataSourceKind = [ccon]MySql[/ccon]. DataSourcePath = [ccon]xxxxxx.mysql.database.azure.com;xxxxxx[/ccon]. [/ccon];[ccon]We were unable to find a database provider with invariant name 'MySql.Data.MySqlClient'.[/ccon]. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: xxxxxx
Any clue what might be wrong?

If I understand correctly, you are able to connect to Azure Mysql database, however the connection is failing and dasboard is not getting refreshed.
I hope you have followed the Pre-requisites , let me repro this and provide you with more details.

This a common bug right now. Many posts in Fabric Community are dedicated to this error, but no solution has been found.
Once again, I will try to be more specific about the error itself.
The error concerns a forced or scheduled update exactly in the Power BI service environment, in Power BI desktop everything is ok.
In power bi srvice not a gateway is used, but a cloud connection, which, by the way, cannot be changed to a personal gateway.
The error itself

@Peter Yacoub The refresh fails in PowerBI online is since direct query connector for Azure DB for MySQL is not available. you can vote for this connector in Power BI ideas forum.
