Hello,

I had a HP Proliant ML30 Server running Windows Server 2019 STD and MS SQL Server 2022 STD running with license. Recently the motherboard got issue and HP said to get it replaced.

So i have a question about its license if it will work normally after server motherboard is replaced or I have to get new license again.

Its standard workgroup environment.

Please do let me know

Thanks

Hitalkumar

The SQL Server license is not tied to the hardware - it is a piece of paper. So if all you do is to replace some hardware, your license is still valid.

I can't speak to Windows Server, but I would be quite upset as a customer if my old license would no longer be valid.
