How do I get Microsoft Edge to work again?

Microsoft Edge has completely stopped working. It will not open in any way.

I have tried:

Clean boot, virus check, repairing, restarting, troubleshooters, running as admin, running in private window, etc.

The program will not open at all when I attempt to from any location (task bar, start menu, all apps menu, file location) on my PC.

Any help?

There is the solution if you cant open Edge again (it wont start no matter what you have done -repair/modify/reinstall etc)

1. Go to (C:\Users@USERNAME@\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data)
2. Find a file named Local State - you can remove or rename it
3. Start Edge as normal
4. If you get stuck at blank setup popup window, kill Edge with Taskmanager and start it again.
5. Should work as normal now.
