I just installed the V17.10.0 update from V17.9 and now get a set of error messages like this: "The type or namespace 'Storage' does not exist in the namespace 'Windows' (are you missing an assembly or reference?" in the Visual Studio generated App.xaml.cs file which I have never edited or touched.
My application worked fine without any errors prior to installing the update.
I have used the repair facility in Visual Studio Installer but that did not fix the problem.

2024-05-24T23:23:17.03+00:00 The Reference Manager on another machine says "Targeting: Universal Windows" which is correct. (This is a UWP application.) However, the Reference Manager on the machine with the updated Visual Studio V17.10.0 says "Targeting: UAP".
It would appear the Visual Studio upgrading process switched my app from UWP to UAP. How do I switch it back to UWP?

You can right click on project node in the Solution Explorer > Properties > Application > switch the Target version and Minimum version.
Besides, you can close all running VS instances and try to delete the hidden .vs, bin and obj folders in the project folder.
Then, relaunch your VS and rebuild your project.
