MS Teams Room on Android issues

we have a neat board meeting room device running android. We have created a resource account and assigned the account a teams room pro license but we are unable to register the device in intune/azure.

All the articles seem to imply that the only way to get the device logged on and registered is to enable Android Device Administrator in Intune which i understand will be obsolete soon. I am getting some pushback in doing this. IS this the only option to get it onboarded?

    Hi @NP

For now, Teams Android-based devices are managed by Intune via Android Device Administrator (DA) management. Customers must enroll their devices using Android Device Administrator.

However, please note that Microsoft Teams Android devices will be moving to Intune Android Open Source Project (AOSP) device management later this year.

AOSP Device Management is the replacement for the legacy Android Device Administrator solution used for managing Teams Devices. This mandatory migration will take place over several months and will not start until Q3CY24.

For more information on how to migrate Teams Android devices to AOSP device management, please refer to this document.
