Hi,
Our app service is using an old version of .Net framework, which is no longer support.
I wish to check the exact version we are using (it is either 2.1 or 3.1), but we end up seeing this in the Configuration section
How can I find the framework we have set for our web service?
Also, I know that .net framework 2.1 and 3.1 has stopped support. May I know the date that Microsoft would completely remove the framework stack and we can no longer run any app service base on .net framework 2.1 and 3.1?

Hi @Zavier Chan , since .net core 3.1 and 2.1 has reached their end of life (EOL), it will no longer be available from Runtime Stack selection dropdown. But this doesn't mean we can't use .net core 3.1 and 2.1, it just means we are not able to create new instances choosing .net core 3.1 and 2.1. For existing web app instances, I'm afraid they would still support working on the runtime which is EOL but it's better to upgrade to LTS .net versions. In your web application, we can go to Kudu site and run command "dotnet --info" to get detailed information about the .NET environment, including runtimes. I trust there will have .net core 3.1 or 2.1 to ensure running your application. When you application is configured to run in .net core 3.1 and the web app instance has .net core 3.1, then your application is running in .net core 3.1. I mean this is decided by your application itself, and then if there's a corresponding runtime installed in this web app instance, then your app should be able to run.

We are fixing the code to migrate to latest .net version. But it takes time to correct a number of place.
Is there anyway I can check out the .net version I pick when I do the setup here?

Hi Zavier Chan**,** basically when we want to check the current .net version we used for the web app instance, we go to the configuration blade like what you shared in the screenshot to get the version. Since the option doesn't show it, I'm afraid we are not able to get the origin option we selected when creating the instance. Is there any history log saved locally such as ARM template for creating this instance?
