Controls projecting shadow out of form bounds

I woriking in windows 8.1 os for alot of years with visual studio. I have the latest version of visual studio 2019. Im working with c# winforms.The problem that i found is that whenever i drag and drop a control onto form and make the width of control same as form and choose a bright color,lets say Blue ,the control projects a shadow out of bounds of the form. And the shadow can bee seen if the background is another color , gray for example.I have attached a screeenshot with this problem.Any ideas?

Maybe the effect is only visible on monitor, not on screenshots.

If it also happens in case of some specific test images, made in resized Paint, then it is probably not a problem of Forms application.

I tried with Paint and the same problem exists.So if its not a problem of Form's application , what could it be? I reinstalled vs.

I also reinstalled vs and , deleted the control and just paint it. Same...

Probably the monitor is unideal if it distorts the representations. (Maybe it needs some software or hardware adjustments). If possible, try other monitors or computers. And wait for other opinions.

I zoom and check the images, don’t find the shadow you mentioned.

Can you confirm that this issue is not caused by GPU/GPU drive?

I notice that you tested on another machine, was the same type of monitor used(maybe try a different type of monitor)? Also, does this issue only appear on Windows 8.1?

If you try to check the images on other monitors/screens(like mobile phone screen), can you see the same shadow?

Thanks for answering. The other machine that i tested if completely different, mine is HP, the other one is ASUS. I formated my machine just to eliminate the suspicion that windows causes the problem. I cant know if my cpu/gpu is the problem , cause they work fine. Well sometimes very rarely my screen would go black and reappear cause driver was failing ,but after i updated everything was fine.And that was like years ago. I tested in my TV and couldnt see the shadow....I really dont know whats going on.

Instead of images that do not seem to reflect the problem, maybe you can take a photo with a digital camera or phone and send it.

Hi @Vasilis Katsikis,

I still didn’t see the shadow on above picture.

I notice that you mentioned your screen would go black, and driver would fail before you updated. Is it possible for you to contact the GPU/driver support to narrow down this issue and confirm that this issue isn’t caused by your GPU or driver? Maybe they can provide you some tools for checking/scanning your GPU/driver.

I also notice that you couldn’t see the shadow in your TV. Maybe it’s caused by displaying or rendering, related to the settings of VS/monitor and the limitation of monitor.
