Hi Team,

We are using the SCVMM tool (System Center Virtual Machine Manager) on a Windows machine and added some Windows Server VMs into this tool. We've noticed that upon adding hosts to this tool, it installs the Hyper-V service on those particular hosts, making the "root\virtualization\v2" namespace accessible. As a result, the normal windows machine is getting treated as Hyper-V machine.

Our objective is to ensure that the "root\virtualization\v2" namespace remains accessible to the host, but without installing the Hyper-V service.

Please let us know if there is any way to achieve this? If yes, then please share the detailed steps.

Regards,
Akshay

    Hi,

Our objective is to ensure that the "root\virtualization\v2" namespace remains accessible to the host, but without installing the Hyper-V service.

Based on my understanding, the root\virtualization\v2 namespaces are present only on Hyper-v server.
